And I knew the murmurs of the soul

And the world is drawn into your hands
And the world is etched upon your heart

I can spend a lot of time on ffffound.

the party's crashing us

Well my internship at Gumbo Limbo went really well. I met some really wonderful people and I learned so much, it's amazing. Little sea critters like this spiny urchin have a special place in my heart. The fantastic thing about urchins is that when you hold them, they don't bear any resemblance to anything that you'd think of as an animal - But if you watch it closely, you can see it twitching and squirming in your hand. Life is very diverse and beautiful, you know?

This is Pollye. She is a 2-year-old loggerhead sea turtle. (oh and I'm pretty sure that I'm a bit of a sea turtle nerd, now.) It took all of my will power to not take her home with me. Did you know that touching or harassing a sea turtle is a federal crime?... In case you were considering snuggling one...
Pollye's just waaaay too lovely.

Saw the Decemberists with my boyfriend, Will. :] It was EXCELLENT to say the least.

Moi. Home in beautiful Ohio once again. I think I may stay in the midwest for the rest of my life, fuhrealz.

I've been listening to "Kim & Jessie" on repeat.

And what have YOU been up to?

You should be in my space, you should be in my life

So I've been itching to fix up my room. It's really cluttered and ehhhh, says nothing about my personal style... Although it does express my disorganization and pack-rat tendencies... But I've seen a few excellent photos of some more stylish rooms that I'd like to translate into a more zen bedroom.
I looooove the tree branch used to hang clothes! I have a closet in my room, but the use of clothes as decoration is really cool - the shoes arranged on the floor and the purse on the side table... I love it!
Before I leave FL, I'd really love to get some big shells, starfish or seabiscuit, like the ones shown here, to decorate a book shelf.

This room is just so casual. It's grown-up without being uptight. It's not overdone or complicated and it's definitely not cluttered! I like that it isn't very feminine, too. I could totally see myself with this room.
above pictures from desire to inspire, one of my favorite design blogs.

Awww, I really like this. It would be especially cute if it were all poloroids of actual film photos of friends and family. Or pictures of yourself and your significant other. :D
Doooon't really rememer where this came from... I'll go ahead and guess that it's another one from Desire To Inspire.

ANNNDDD, I may or may not REEEAALLLYYY want to paint some of my furniture bright, happy colors, like this turquoise dresser. :]

horrible IPhone cam whoring and TRIVIA

This picture is just too fucked-up/cool to not post/laugh at.
I'm not fashion-y during the week, because I'm too busy sweating at the Nature Center.

Hey, FUN FACT! - I don't want to be a marine biologist!

LOL, I don't know what I've gotten myself into.

Givenchy- Under the sea

Maybe it's the fact that I'm working with a bunch of marine biologists at a nature center, these days, but when I saw Givenchy F2009RTW, I was immediately reminded of the ocean. The hair was crimped and mermaid-like and the feathers arranged in asymmetric collars and on shoes looked like coral or maybe sea anemones. Over all, a very dreamy collection.
